Dr. Christopher “Chris” Harris is a fellowship-trained family medicine and obstetrics provider, uniquely positioned as Oklahoma’s only African American physician with this specialized training. Committed to improving healthcare equity and maternal health outcomes, Dr. Harris blends clinical expertise with community advocacy in his speaking engagements.

Health Disparities – Complex Problems, Simple Solutions
Discrepancies in health outcomes have been present for decades and while there have been some improvement, they are still present. In the United States, American Indians/Alaskan Natives (67.9 years) and Blacks (72.8 years) have the shortest life expectancy. Black pregnant women die at 2.6 times the rate of White pregnant women.
Through his keynote talks and workshops, Dr. Harris shares his simple and reliable methods that he has developed over his seven years as a physician to address these intricate problems.
